Dear Friends, 

Thank you so much for your donations! In the past we succumbed to third party processing fees. Often these fees were up to 3% and would add up to several dollars quickly. This may not sound like much at first, but when you know how far just a few dollars can go in a place like India or Africa it begins to look rather precious. Therefore, within the United States we prefer to receive donations in the form of a check whenever possible. This avoids the processing fees and also provides a record of the transaction. Nevertheless, we can set up automatically recurring deductions for those who want to give on a monthly basis; and for those outside of the US, we are looking for new ways to accept donations with minimal fees.
